Today is February 1st, Super Bowl Sunday, 2015. One year since I posted here. Well, I have posted some new scans in that time. Anyway, I do have a plan for this site, and things are still coming along in John’s Psyche Land. I will continue to post more of my old work, now that I have stumbled into a basic understanding of coding for pages/galleries, but… The big announcement is this: I will begin redrawing my comic book Scaredy Cat and posting each new page on this site’s main page, hopefully at the rate of a page a week.
I am currently nearing completion on the first step in the project, which is redesigning the main character. I have finally cracked it, and I think he has a pretty good, distinctive physiognomy (slightly pathetic, but I will try not to let it get too much so). Next I will begin to layout the final version of page one, and experiment with drawing styles (I have a fairly narrow range in mind).
That may take a few weeks. So I am aiming to get page one posted (and the starting gun sounded, so to speak) by early March. Sometime before then I will need some help from my brother Frank or my friend Dave to help me streamline the look and functionality of the site.
Right now, though, I need to tidy up and prepare for our Super Bowl party (just Johanna and me, and the lord and lady of the house whom are the upstairs to our downstairs). I am making a whole lot of chicken fingers.
